B-24: Band of Brothers

An Amazing Experience for Men on the Discipleship Journey

  • What is it?   24 hours of “bonding as brothers”

  • Who is it for?   All men on the Discipleship Journey

  • What is the purpose?   The B-24 is a 24-hour experience where men journeying together in discipleship deepen their relationships as brothers, and by God’s grace, become more passionate and effective disciples and disciple makers of Christ.

  • Where does it take place?    At one of several locations—all of which are located within 90 minutes of Chesterfield Presbyterian Church. (In-town, sleep-at-home options, to be held in The Cellar at Chesterfield Presbyterian Church, are also available for a few weekends.)

  • What 24 hours?

    • Out-of-town:   Depart 4:00 PM Friday; return 4:00 PM Saturday

    • In-town:   Fri. 5:30-9:00 PM (sleep at home); continue Sat. 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM

  • What are the dates?

    • There are slots every weekend in February and March.

  • How much does it cost? $30 per man, which includes 3 meals

  • What do you need to know?

    • Directions, special instructions, and a packing list will be communicated later.

    • If any men in your group will be using a c-pap machine please let us know; we can accommodate.

  • What should you do?

    • Be convinced that the B-24 with your brothers is worth every effort.

    • Pick a date that works for your group. If you can’t find a date that works for all of you, then choose a date that works for most of you. Someone may need to go a different weekend with another group, which is totally fine.

    • Sign-up and fill in your name(s) for the date that works for you. Do this ASAP—and no later than January 22, 2023. You may want to simplify by having your d-group leader sign up your group.

  • Suggested packing list:

    • Appropriate clothing for inside and outdoors (e.g., house shoes, layered-clothing)

    • All meals, snacks, and refreshments are provided, but you are welcome to bring preferred beverages or foods if you are on a special diet

    • You may be asked to bring your own towel and (optional) sleeping bag.

    • Personal toiletries

    • Bible

“I cannot encourage you strongly enough to take advantage of this great opportunity to grow together as brothers. I would go so far as to say, the bonding and the encouragement of the B-24 will be some of the most significant hours you will spend together becoming motivated and equipped to be disciple makers, to the glory of God.” — Jeff
